چکیده
Abstract Cellulose, a natural, renewable, and environment friendly biopolymer, has been considered as sustainable feedstock in the near future. However, only 0.3% of cellulose is today processed since it not soluble conventional solvents due to strong hydrogen bonding network highly ordered structure. Hence, search effective eco-friendly for dissolution key pillar decades. In recent years, ionic liquids (ILs) have proposed green applied production cellulose-based fibers. This review aims focus attention toward fiber spinning methods based on ILs, well progress using ILs. Moreover, development cellulosic fibers blended with other biopolymers, composites are presented. Finally, different applications summarized discussed.

متن کاملCellulose regeneration and spinnability from ionic liquids.
Ionic liquid solutions of cellulose or dopes can be spun into Lyocell-type textile fibers by dry-jet wet spinning. An extruded dope is drawn over an air gap into water, where the water hydrates the ionic liquid and cellulose is regenerated. Spinnability studies have concentrated on the deformation and failure modes in the air gap and thus the rheology of the unhydrated spinning dope. Herein, a ...

متن کاملSelective Breakdown of (Ligno)cellulose in Ionic Liquids
(Ligno)cellulose is mainly composed of cellulose, lignin, hemicellulose, and extractives, which represents an abundant carbon-neutral renewable resource. Increasing concerns about global warming and diminishing fossil fuel reserves have stimulated much effort to use (ligno)cellulose as an alternative to petroleum for the production of fuels and chemicals. From a sustainability point of view, sh...
